Anne Dussaud earned her doctorate in Chemical Engineering at the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) in Meudon, France, studying the interfacial properties of protein solutions with Dr. Michele Adler.

As a post-doctoral associate in Chemical Engineering with Dr. Sandra Troian at Princeton University, Dussaud won the 1999 Frankiel award from the American Physical Society (APS) for her work on spreading with evaporation. She worked for seven years at Unilever US, Inc. as a group leader in the skin material science group.

Dussaud joined Momentive Performance Materials Inc. in 2007, where she is responsible for identifying and characterizing novel polymers for hair care applications. She is the inventor on 12 commercial patents and has authored many research publications.
